The mini was off the road for three months Finally after repairs costing £1250 it's up and running again.
The big decision is this.......... do I keep it (risking something else going wrong and costing another small fortune to fix) or cut my losses and sell it now? What would you do?

Keep it. with 1250 spent, there can't be much left to go wrong.

lol No idea Tom, paid £3400 for it. Now spent £1250 fixing it. I'd loose quite a bit on it, but I'm tempted to sell it while its running okay

Id say sell it unless you plan to keep it for a while or you are particularly fond of it

I'm learning to drive atm and its not the ideal car to learn in + I have this nagging feeling something else might break and I'm back to square one
But on the other hand, I love it to bits................... its mental to run about in (when Colin's driving) and its soooo
Decisions, decisions

If you did sell I doubt you would lose much on it.

Hmmm........ I think you've talked me into keeping it
Colin's planning to sell his Alfa, and me and him are going half stuff for another car anyway. I suppose I could learn to drive in the new car and keep the Mini for Colin to rag roll at the weekends

Not sure, whats the condition of yours? Roof etc ok? Maybe a good idea to get a copy of Mini magazine.

Roof's fine, Whole front end 3 years ago so thats fine, Rear & sill's could do with a spruce up if you were being particular. Speedo's stipped working, likes to drink a bit of oil, other than that its an ok wee novalty summer/weekend car....I would hate driving it every day

I had intended a full re-spray etc, but that will have to wait now if I keep it

Infact Its a really tiring drive, Ive been a few decent sized runs in it & ive physically fucked once we return home
Seat right back, still my knees rub the steering wheel, which is offset from the seat & makes for a awkward driving position. bit sore on the arms, very bumpy, usually manage to get myself a couple bruises each time im out in it
Id love to lock it away for occasional blast but theres £3k locked away to go towards the car thats going to be less hassle & hopefully get Jade through her test!!

Stop giving it to doughnuts & fuckwits & start taking it to mini specialists to be worked on
