Thanks but was more interested in the actual nightlife in terms of going out and getting drunk, is it rough, cheap anywhere good etc

no its not

Its a bit shitty to be honest. Browns isnt too bad for a bar, Cafe Manyana is probably the best bar and has a late license to about 4am I think.

The old Tokyo Joes is meant to be opening up as Lava and Ignite with a load of money spent on it so that'll probably be OK now, but not sure when it opens.

Yeah I imagine it will as every other time they have said they are refurbing it I have always gone in and nearly lost a shoe on those floors!

From what I have heard they are making it over 21's so hopefully wont be the place all the kids and up going from now on.

Was my local town when I lived at home, went to school just outside (Hutton Grammar) so thats where I went most weekend from 15 onwards!

My missus still lives near there aswell, plus she goes to the Uni there so always around.

Is the girl at the Uni?

Preston isn't a terrible night out, but if you don't know where you're going it can be very rough. Tokyo Jo's has changed it's name but is practically the same so i would recommend avoiding that place. Try Browns, Manyanas as Cosmo stated, Squares isn't bad, and revolution is quite good

P.S. steer clear of Mood if it's a weekend, 9 times out of 10 it is rammed and you'll be waiting for an age to get served.

Preston is'nt a bad night, its what you make of it. I go with the lads most weekends and always have a good laugh and its a damn sight better than Southport, less knob heads too.

Lava and Ignite is open now, went on Sat was'nt bad. Looks alot nicer now than when it was Tokyo Joe's.

Our usual route is Assembly (now closed for refurb), Bar Censa for a couple, then to Mood's which is good for a laugh then maybe head further up into town.

When I first started going out Southport was excellent, then all the decent places either went shite or closed down

Agreed, used to go most weekends and have a great laugh. Now everywhere is closed and its full of pricks. Kingsway is opening again soon though but no doubt that will be shite too
