Few of my mates rebuilt scoob, was written off two years ago after a front end collision that creased the floorpan and roof, has since been bought back and reshelled, hats off to my mate for doing it in a garage all himself (with help from other mates - obv not paint though lol).
Unfortunatly not all that many progress pics, however here's some pics of the early stages...
The old, stripped shell...

The engine dropped in...

The new shell (at this point the engine was running)

Old tailgate on the new shell...

And finally how she looks now, all thats changed is she has now got a P1 front bumper (air intake at the bottom, and foglights)
Not sure if you can see, but its also got HID's installed now. Off for tracking etc at ABP in Crewe this weekend, and she'll be ready to roll in the next week or two.
(FYI its been off the road being rebuilt for nearly 2 years)

some serious work gone into that!
Surely it would have been cheaper to just buy one though, or did he use another scoob to salvage the parts off? Nay ideas how much it cost all together?

That's what I thought for a '98 car, turned out alright though when they let him buy it back at £2k!

May have had an agreed value from the insurer or something? Suppose it depends on the insurance company, and the car .
