its not about them being good or bad mate the quality of the stainless isnt the best but its all down to the fitter as ive had some good and some bad

You get a lifetime guarantee with them, which is good. You might need it too as the stuff they weld the exhausts together with has a tendency to rot after a while (as its not stainless). Unless different outlets use different welding materials. Ours up here has a bad rep for that. Can do some good work though for one-off stuff.

Mines been fine and ive not had any problems with it. Its pretty loud though but you can choose the sound.

They're a franchise. Some people rate them some don't it really depends on which one you are going to and what grade of steel they use. The majority use a low grade stainless steel which is thin and doesnt meet british standards for Stainless Steel - not good!

Most people that say there crap are people who havent had one.

Ive had 3 none ever have gone wrong, guy who does them his welds are like machine welds and he is very cheap too

Had mine for 2 years, never had any problems, no signs of rust, apart from the odd bit of surface corrosion (which you'll get on any stainless steel with salt) over winter with all the salt. Bit of polish always shifts it though .

All depends on what franchise you go to..End of...THey shouldn't but they do use different grades of SS.

The grade of stainless steel Powerflow supply them to use isn't even stainless steel really. It's cheap crap from South Africa, just like thier baffles and back boxes. If you are paying that sort of money for a custom made stainless steel exhaust it should last until the car dies, thats the point. But then again, Powerflow are cheap and you get what you pay for.

find a Cobra exhausts dealer. much better quality stuff than powerflow. generally powerflow use 409 stainless. ALL cobra exhaust dealers use 304 stainless.

I visited a lot of franchises and manufacturers during my research for the new business (we are doing custom exhausts) and cobra are miles ahead of powerflow.

NO powerflow materials meet british standards for stainless steel and 95% of them are mig welded. Tig welding is far superior for quality of finish.

thought it had to be tigged??? didnt think mig would take to it... when i done my apprenticeship we had to learn how to tig (altho we never use it in the bodyshop) never heard nething about miging it... ah well learn soemthing new everyday

You can do it, but you use different techniques to do it. Much better off TIGing it.

some of there outlets are crap and some are good. i just look at it that they have a lifetime warrenty so if it goes wrong then u take it back and get a brand new system for free!

my mate runs our local dealer and he doesnt have any problems with the systems that he makes, well hanst sofar but we did have a dealer in needem market who used to mix mild steel wit stainless.

this is the system which my mate made up for my missus car







and here is my backbox which i made myself at powerflow lol (was cheeper that way but still covered under the warrenty :lol

Slightly embaracing that a stainless system wont last any longer than a mild steel system though isn't it.

does it really matter if its gonna be replaced free neway?? altho obviously its extra hassle... the stainless powerflow use surface rusts thru time doesnt it??

Last time i tried to get a powerflow exhaust repaired they got all funny about it
