Ok, im trying to guage how many other people have claimed for injury after a crash.
I've just had my car written off by a chinese woman who cant speak english, and i have whiplash and wrist injuries, according to my solicitors i should make a claim as i can get a huge payout for it £3000+.
I dont know whether this is moral or not, who else has had something similar?
sorry for not explaining myself properly

I suppose dog eat dog is right.
theres a limit though to whats compensation for damage + injury and being rewarded for having a crash.

just claim makes no difference to her, insurance company pays for everything, makes no difference if they only pay out for the damage to your car or the damage to your car plus any compensation injuries.

Why are they going to fuck her over
She doesn't pay u know, she won't even know the amount that gets paid out.
Mate if you have the injuries go for it thats what you pay insurance for

If you are genuinely injured then YES claim..If you are trying it on DON'T..Simple..
TBH myself I can't see you getting anywhere near 3k for whiplash..
And 5k for whiplash I want proof as I DO NOT believe it..
I was in car crash last August, Quite a bad one hit head on by a drunk driver @ 60 mph in missus car her driving and me and 2 year old in back...
I got 1k which was for whiplash.....I also had cuts and bruises all over body, legs scared for life etc.. This was REFUSED to be upped unless I took them to court (direct line)
Kieran got £200..
Karen (wife) had and still has
1 deflated lung
1 punctured lung
Broken bone in foot which still giving her problems 16 months later.
She was 9 weeks pregnant
Cuts and bruises all over body..
SHe has been offered 8K which has been turned down..She is going to see a consultant Psycitrist (sp) next month...
No way 3K for whiplash...
THis is all against Direct line insurance by the way...
We have a good solicitor who knows his stuff.....

yeah, apart from everybody elses insurance cover costs rise because of someone getting 1.5k for a merely inconvenient 'pain'
Not saying that is the case here because he hasn't posted enough details....but you get the drift

How is it not moral? they claim against her insurance company not the driver.....If he is genuinely injured he has a claim, if he's not don't claim...

IF you are injured through no fault of your own no matter how small or large etc..
YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO CLAIM...Wasn't your fault you got injured was it?
