Came out of the pub tonight at 1AM had a few beers but felt ok, so I drove home...
About 100 meters down the road I got pulled by a cop who folowed me out of the pub...
In his car on his machine I blew 41 (Legal limit is 35 but they will only prosecute above 40)...
He arrested me and took me in, then on the big machine in the station I had to give 2 samples... first was 27, second was 26... so they let me off...
How can this be? the police woman was like nah, this can't be right, they were confused, considering I've had 4 pints and 2 JD & Cokes...
I feel bad and I'm not happy that I did drink after that much, just fookin releaved that it was so low and I am free to go with not even a slapped hand...

2) "considering I've had 4 pints and 2 JD & Cokes..."
3) "I'm not happy that I did drink after that much" ...................Eh,?

4 pints and two mixers!
Most people stop at one, two pints. Some people on here wont even TOUCH a drop if they need to drive afterwards.
So near to loosing your licence its unreal.

when the police pulled you over did they ask how long it was since you had your last alcoholic drink.. they have to give 20- 25 mins before they can test you because there may be alcohol in the osophocus (sorry bad spelling) wich will cause the breatherliser to mess up. that may explain why the rest of the samples were low in the station, hope this helps

Because you can enjoy a pint but still be perfectly able/legal to drive.

Remember, some people drink alcoholic beverages because they taste nice, not just to get smashed.

same thing happened to me altho when i was stopped was in the morning after a heavy nite. drank to five, went to bed with the then missus, as u can imagine didnt sleep much, then had to get up at ten. never even thought about the drink drive limit as i had (some) sleep. came around a corner on a wee country road and there was about 6 policemen standing in the middle of the road. i never even thought about the drink cause it was the nite before and was more worried about my slick tyre. he started to talk to me asked me to step outside the car, breathilized me, i failed. arrested and taken to the station where i blew a 31 and a 28 or soemthing. policeman said ull nevr get this lucky again..
i never would have drank n drive neway, one was alwasy my limit, occasionally 2 but this made me think big time so now i know if i have to drive in the morning i always go easy...

Jesus. Pretty irresponsible to go out in the car even if you feel ok.
I personally won't drive after a bottle of beer!
I hate cringing at the CS bandwagon usually. But I hate drink driving and what it does to people. Remember what it did to Mav's family?
What's it worth?!

SIX drinks.
Very stupid. I bet the police were disappointed that by some strange fluke they were not able to throw the book at you.
