Just been chatting to my Mum about the cars her and my Dad had over the years.

turns out they had some cool ones.

first car they bought together was a Lotus Sunbeam
then they replaced that with a Mk2 Escort Sport

then my Dad started having company cars, few boring ones, then a Manta GTE, then a few years later, an Escort RST (S2), then his last few cars were a Cavalier SRi (c20xe), Cavalier V6, Vectra SRi V6, and an Alfa 156 V6

my Mum disliked them all

Chevette
Cortina 2.0 GL
Cavalier MK2 2.0 GL

Can't think of rest.

Edit - I remember both the Cortina and the Cavalier, we went all over Europe in the Cavalier twice, no break downs.

My brother poured neat washing liquid over the Cortina so my Dad had it resprayed and fitted a steel body kit that he fabricated himself, looked pretty cool!

My dad used to have Escort estate company cars, earliest was mk2 I think, J reg. I remember the mk3s, before he changed jobs. Before those he had a Cresta which he's not even got pics of.

My mum had a few minis, a Sunbeam as well I think, then shared the Escort until she started buying Vauxhalls, mk2 Astra then mk3 then two Corsas then an Astra mk4 GSi.
