just reading on the corrado forum about a guy passing one at low speeds/low revs, but then got absoluty wasted when the S2k hit 6000rpm.
He then found out the S2k was running 325bhp
But it still gets wasted by lesser cars when your not in the ZONE
opinions?
Standard for standard i reckon a G60 or VR6 would win, depending on driver of course

I like S2000's but dont like cars that you have to rev to silly RPM to make them really go!

Tune the G60 to 325bhp then see what happens

wouldn't say its cheating
never driven one but can imagine it would be annoying having to be at the right revs to get all the power rather than just stick your foot down in any gear like you would in other cars and it pulls well cos of the torque.
never driven an S2000 though so maybe they are allright

"I did last night and i have now found out is wasn't std (325bhp) but it was lacking low down power as i could easily pass him but my god from 6k - the thing was savage.
Just wondering if anyone else has had experiance with one std or otherwise.."

"I had the use of one for a while a couple of years ago. Very quick once up and running but you've got to wring the things neck - as you say very low on low down power and low on torque at all times. "

"Beat one in my first VR.
Someone at work has got one- really nice car, although like with any VTEC, you can get caught out by lesser machines if your not in the zone. "

the s2000 is meant to do that tho, its not like its broke or anything thats the design. Apart from having to go down a cog to overtake something i dont get why people are so against working an engine to higher rpm to get it to perform. In a world or 20mph limits and speed cameras everywhere you dont actully need 56456648bhp and 456641661ft lbs torque at 2.5k rpm

It's not slow to 5500rpm you know
I wouldn't say VTEC is cheating either it's the same as having a turbo, supercharger or throttle bodies, which also gives an engine that extra kick
An S2 would nail a carrado standard for standard also

they arent all that under the round-house-kick-VTEC. once they get into it though, the tarmac melts, doc brown appears in the passenger seat, and the rest is history

They would mine was totally standard and i'm not saying it was the fastest thing on the road but would deffo leave the Corrado with good drivers behind each wheel

It aint cheating , as Jizzy said its the same as a turbo or supercharger
once you get to 5500 you then have till 9K with full power band!
And when you playing with someone your allways in the power band anyway so you never get caught out
Take for example ,
Standard S2000 vs WRX
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ik8apcgy40
you people nock the VTEC but 90% have never driven one, let alone an S2000.
