It does however require putting things in the oven at different times so they are ready together! I struggle with this concept.

nah, it doesnt.

90% of food says it needs different times or temperatures, but wang 'em in a fan oven for 20 mins at 175-180 degrees and they'll be done.

like wedges and burgers, the burgers say 35 mins, wedges say 20, both are done right in 20 though
