maybe just a thread for my own use..... not sure
ENGINE:
16 Row engine oil cooler
thermostatic sandwitch plate for cooler
relocation kit for oil filter
larger capacity sump
upgraded sump baffle/gates
TRANSMISSION:
smaller oil cooler for transmission
electric oil pump
fittings to use gearbox drain & filler as IN/OUT for pump/cooler
Looking into different gearsets too.... shorter gearing
CABIN:
full cage, with bracings to struts etc
dash work I'm really tempted to butcher it but really shouldnt! The panel where the stereo goes will be getting gutted and plated for gauges/switches. The 3 gauge pod above that will be staying.
Seats from Corsa if it doesnt sell. Lighter/madder ones if it does!
6pt 3" harnesses (from corsa)
SUSPENSION:
uprate whats needed
New shocks and springs
BRAKES:
change discs
change pads
change fluid
WHEELS/TYRES:
to start with just go with whats on... but upgrade to 17x9.5 with something around 265 width on tyres
Thats all stage 1 for now.... once its running and handling, and reliable i may pop some new turbo's on, bigger FMIC, better fueling etc.

the oil filter is in a cunt of a place to work with. Re-location it makes it easier to work with, get the sandwitch plate on etc.
The sandwitch plate take a feed of engine oil through the cooler, and then returns it via the return feed (cooled). The thermostat only allows it to open, or cool the oil once its reached a certain temp.
So the engine will still heat up as it should, but cool down better when hot.

Sounds good AK. just watch the legnth of pipework used on your oil cooler. Bought a cheap kit for my mates Impreza that came with about 4 foot of pipe - Lowered the oil pressure under load by over 1.5 bar! Dropped it from 6.2 bar to about 4.5!
Best way to make a car faster is make it lighter! Id proper go to town like you did on your Corsa!

Whats the story with the shorter gearing?
Remember that 499bhp Impreza i told you you'd be competing against?
He's doing 140-145 going under the bridge at k'hill and he was bricking it!
I think he "only" managed 179mph or something @ TOTB but his firbeglass door skin (not fourskin) blew off.

You will.
I think the quickest cars (single seaters) at Doune do 140mph going up the tunnel.

Dave - i can fit and weld a 'cage' in...
but i'd prob need the cage made to fit the car?! the cages are like 1k or something
Gearing - something to thick about when the box goes
