Cool stats - my Suzuki Bandit 600 cc which cost me £1200 is faster on the 1/4 mile than a Porsche 911 GT2, TVR Tuscan Speed Six, Porsche 911 Carrera, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Aston Martin Vantage plus loads more

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/downloads/carmotorcycleperformancecharts1.htm

Its no way near the fastest but i'm fairly impressed with the stats

I think I know that numb nuts

I find it good that you can buy a bike for £1k which has the same sort of performance as a £60k+ car

So I think you have just made yourself look like a plank

ffs, give it a break, ive always been impressed with the speed of bikes for what they cost, in the same way as im impressed by my xe corsa for what it cost, and I fancy a let astra. im not however stupid enough to think ive built a porsche beater, its mildly quicker in one discipline, but i know which id rather own.

the thread started never said his bike was better than anything else, or better in a crash, simply pointed out that its faster up the qtr than a lot of cars.

Just for interest sake, whats the fastest road going production bike up the qtr mile?

still surprises me to this day this fact

Kawasaki ZZR1400 / Standard proven at:

9.36 seconds @ 147.71 mph

That's before any bigger bore kit / Turbo / Charger etc...

Please feel free to read the thread again it clearly says "my Suzuki Bandit 600 cc which cost me £1200 is faster on the 1/4 mile than...." so yes it was my original statement

And yes I agree I would rather be in a car if I crashed at silly speeds. But whats that got to do with my original message? I never mentioned about crashing
I'm just amazed how a bike which costs so little can keep up with very expensive cars.

Cool info IMO.

Round a track would be a hell of a lot closer though.

Was there any need for that?

He was merely pointing out that for very little money you can go just as fast as these Super Cars. Your the retard personally

Would love a bike now I am commuting to London

Very true, on a straight road the bike would have the edge but around a track I think it maybe a different story.
