Hi guys!
I'm the proud owner of a new Corsa C. However I've unfortunately been bitten by the modifying bug. However there's so much stuff I want to do that it's sort of boggling my mind as to what to start with.
It's only a 1.0 L engine, so it's a little weak in terms of power.
Here's the canvas!
I was thinking of getting a set of Team Dynamics "Drifz" wheels. 17" of course.
Another thing I was looking into is a pair of sports (forward tiling as it's a 3dr) seats. The standard corsa seats don't really agree with me on longer journeys and I tend to end up sliding out of the damned thing when I go around a corner at a speed higher than 30mph.
I'd like a better exhaust too, but I'm a little lost as to which would be the best one in terms of performance.
Before I start modifying the exterior of the car, I'd really like to upgrade the engine a little. However my knowledge on engines is about as impressive as the car's acceleration (read: not good).
Once I get the engine up to speed (hurr!), I'd like to start modifying the exterior. I liked the look of the front air dam with foglights on vauxhall's website... but it's £850. I'd like a cheaper alternative to that sort of thing.

wheels, then lowered, then exhaust is usually the start off most people do,
remember you will never make your money bk when you come to sel unless the split the car back to standard
but keep us informed on what you do

lowering is a good place to start, then wheels after that. as for the seats, the ones from the SRi are very supportive, and far more comfortable than the crap stadard lower model ones.

How much would it cost me to get it lowered, and what will I all need to get?
And yeah, the Irmscher grille looks great, I was thinking of getting one of those when I get paid next month. The standard one is just hideous.

I was in Halfords today who have the Team Dynamics "Drifz" wheels in stock. They quoted me £650 for a set of 17"s with tyres, which seems pretty good. However is there a better place to grab some decent wheels?

Halfords do some ok'ish deals on wheels and sometimes can pick up bargains..
If you lived near me my bro in law could have got you 17'2 with tyres for alot cheaper than that I reckon..
Try places on the net..
http://www.wheel-base.co.uk are good..Bought about 4 sets of wheels from them over the years.

Don't take the peoples onpinoins on this site as gospel. Do whatever the hell you want. But one tip is to not do anythting to the engine as you wont get any power gains and don't do anything too hardcore to the exterior of the car unless you are in it for the long run...

Don't worry about the engine for now, Its honestly not worth trying to improve - don't let that put you off though!
Irmy grill should be the first thing you do, cheap, cheerfull and looks ace - then as mentioned good wheels, and nice solid suspension kit.

I just got off the phone with the vauxhall dealer and he says that things such as engine upgrades and non vauxhall approved bodykits etc will invalidate the warranty on parts they are directly in contact with. Alloy wheels, interior mods and such are exempt though.
Looks like I'll be going for irmscher stuff. Not that I mind, I think they look pretty damned good.

Yeah. Alot of the other ones are way over the top.
I saw a Corsa B the other day which was trying to be a ferarri. Possibly the most hilarious thing ever, considering it looked like it was made of paper mache.

Well, I made my first modification!
'racing stripes'
By that, I mean I backed into a wall and scratched a load of the paint off the rear bumper. Bollocks. 
Going to have to get this repaired. Irmy don't do a rear bumper replacement so I'll just get that resprayed (and the plastic guard bit replaced).

wouldnt bother with engine mods on the 1.0, maybe just a back box for looks really.
