I take it you don't want an HD TV and just getting this to tie you over until you can afford something better?

Only one Scart connection though, what you gonna be hooking it up to?

Not hooking up to anything, PS2 etc goes through my 20" widescreen TFT.

Only really applies to higher spec TVs these days James, LCDs/Plasmas use Component connections, HDMI, DVI and VGA connections to hook up things to get the best possible quality.

I.e, you can hook up your 360 via scart but you won't get an HD picture (if your TV supports HD). However if you use the component connection you will. Same with VGA.

All depends on what you're connecting.

yep Toshiba are a good brand James.

Samsung, Toshiba, LG, Hitachi and Dell all make decent LCDs for very good prices.
