driving home from work, doing approx 70mph in outside lane, going past a HGV.....my rear axel was abot level with his so i was alongside him, not just about to pass.....i notice his right indicator goes on, and about a second later he starts to swerve towards me! i nearly crap my self, he doesnt swing back to inside lane...but carries on to try and over take guy infront of him! i slam the brakes on and swerve to the right, mounting the kerb at speed. he happily drives off overtaking!! dunno how my tyres didnt burst speed i hit it, but think my suspension is slightly foobared! sooo annoyed just because he couldnt be arsed to slow down he had to run me off the fkin road!!!

Yeah but he still should know if anyone is in the process of overtaking. Unless he wasnt looking in the mirrors for a while.

'Blind spot' isn't really an excuse in my opinion. You're suppose to always check your blind spot if you overtake or change lane etc.

Why didnt he check before then if she was in the spot? He wouldve seen her overtaking and gradually moving alongside him to get past?

thing is, Lorries are often LHD, because of the haulage they do abroad... so they have a massive blind spot which cant be checked.
least you're ok though Lynny, coulda been nasty

Cost of everything would go up (premium labour reqired)
Shops would find it very hard to trade. I work in a supermarket we have about 25 deliveries a day.
It would be just about as practical as my suggestion
