 | a new shop opened in the north east dedicated to supplying and fitting performance parts what feature and products would you like to see available?

do you feel that there is a shortage of this type of shop in the region?

 | well dave you would have to pretty much compete with the internet market, could you supply parts at them prices?
if you do open one up, you would have to do fitting as well as there would be a good profit margin here

i think the main competition is revolution in newcastle

 | two places in boro same to have got there act together at the min

triple 6 - will do almost any engine work etc

 meanwhile

a old company have just taken over large premises and will be upgrading very shortly - more space wider range of items etc also in house fitting -

i would say to stay in touch you would need

 large range of products

 in house fitting

big idea at the min - is shows cars in the actual shop

 | rolling road and ecu remapping is the main plan at the moment.

apart from andy urwin in newcastle that has a bad rep, motorscope in northalerton that use a 1970's style inertia wheel guessometer and that dodgy one in durham turdopacs,

where else does have a rolling road? and offers remapping and engine builds etc?

 | Tbh i think there is room in the market for another place like this as it must be a growing sector, however, people imo fail to advertise properly, usually its down to word of mouth.

If you opened a place you would need to focus quite heavily at first with advertising, performance place ect never seem to be well advertised.

Also what is very important i have noticed is the attitude of the people who work in the places, i have noticed a shitty attitude by a lot of people in the car industry, such as:

 people who know it all.
 general short tempers with you
not being as helpful to you as you would like.

Ill admit mechanically i know nothing about cars really, which is why i hate going to garages/motorfactors ect because its pretty obvious i have no idea what im talking about so most of the time get a snotty attitude which makes me not want to go back, as they have no patience.

So in short if you open a place, make sure its well advertised and with a friendly and Welcoming atmoshpere; as i think a lot of buissnes would be lost becasue people would feel overwhelmed by going into a shop where they could be laughed at ect, so turn to the internet to make there purchases.

But yeah i cant think of a decent place with a rolling road or who offer engine builds, then again there probs are people around that do it but ive just not heard of them.

 | Ooo i need my car rolling roading i can be a customer

I think there should be more track spec items availiable. Strut braces ( at decent prices ), uprated Anti roll bars, etc.

Also performance manifolds, cams, ecu upgrades, ecu remapping all sorts.

 | I very much doubt a top job for that price. I think a cowboy hat maybe needed if you got a conversion done all in for £350.
