How do you find a cat?

My dads gf has a cat, that im to look after for 2 weeks. and i havent seen it in 2days..

Yet its food keeps dissapearing, could it be hiding in the house

BTW, about the cat...

put it's food out and sit by it till it comes and gets it, the put tape on it's back and sides so it thinks it's in a box and it will just stand by the food all day

Mine comes out at night time, spends all day sleeping under beds/in tunnles made from duvet's etc..

Only wakes up to eat

oh, so im ok then. I aint a cat person and never had one. It has a wee bell on its colar and i aint heard that at all.
