right, im 19, 2 years NCB, currently have 54 astra sport 1.6 16v with 16k on it. i owe about 7k on finance for it....looking on parkers, local ads etc, seems id get about 7-8k for it. Right! I want something smaller, but still with some kick! Although i dont mind getting another car on finance, dont want it to cost alot more than im paying at the min. ideally want a 2.0 golf TDi. Do i:
1) Sell astra (whilst it still has reasonably low milage as to be fair i do a fair few miles! Done 12k since december), use money to pay off remaining finace and:
a) look to get the golf
b) Get another corsa, GSI or similar, nice subtle, keep it for a year or so until im 21, 3 NCB, better job and then get the golf
2) keep astra until its paid off (about year and half) and get the golf then (although by then milage on astra MAY be quite immense....

OR any other suggestions? Insurance isnt bad either way....

Anything with good maintenance wont be unreliable. So based on your one bad experience all the other GSi's will be the same? Stop generalising. I'm shocked you managed to buy a SEAT on that basis.

tbh i think GSi is same sorta story as 106 GTi, ALOT of unreliable ones out there, but doesnt mean all will be. i dont definantly want GSi, that was just idea as want to keep a bit of power, obviously would like something newer.

Think you will find you can part ex but not sell as when you buy a car you should allways HPI them first

hope that makes sense
