they feature a re-designed LS2 with 420bhp and 450lb/ft, 0-100kmh now takes 4.7 seconds. im dissapointed that there will be no LS7 from the states

Clubsport R8

GTS

Senator

and finally...apparently it makes less power than the Europe version, but more torque

1/4 mile for the GTS was clocked at 12.9secs, STANDARD!!! not bad for a car that you can buy brand new for £35k. it has some crazy ass suspension too, first saloon production car to have it

"The flagships of the E-Series line-up, the GTS and Senator Signature, will also get a Magnetic Ride Control system – or MRC – similar to that used in the $600,000 Ferrari 599 GTB, the second-generation Audi TT and various Cadillacs.

Using a fluid with metallic flakes in it and an electric current flowing through it, the MRC system can almost instantly adjust the stiffness of the suspension to maximise cornering grip and poise and improve handling."

"Also down the track expect to see a more potent GTS-R, which could get a moire powerful engine; a monster 7.0-litre V8 borrowed from the Chevrolet Corvette LS6 has been mooted, as has a 6.2-litre version of the current V8."

Cybermonkey autoexpress are saying the new monaro will be a Commodore, so if true the gts will be pretty close to what the vxr version would look and go like? sounds like we get a v6 and v8 aswell

mate, the old Monaro was a Commodore. and there is speculation as to whether there will be another Monaro at all. The Vauxhall Monaro VXR is based on the HSV GTS, not the GTO. GTO is the Saloon

Matt, the senator has been a Holden name since the 80's. the Vauxhall/Opel Senator was in fact an imported Holden. we have always had Senators...
