nice van, but what a waste of a legendary car - only a handful of 220s and two of them are locked up in a Jag warehouse

its also 4 seconds slower up the hill than a BTCC nissan, not many deathtraps will do that, so i reckon its actully properly put together, and proves it works

Thats the titties that. Kicks arse on teh Cossie Transits
Funny enough, the place I work dealt with teh law suite on the XJ220s. Was chatting to one of the partners about it as he's got a huge picture on his office wall given to him by jag....
Reason - Start off price - £150,000 odd (can't remember the exact).
Finish price, and after a 4 year wait - £400,000...
And it got loads of parts removed to save costs as well... People were not pleased. Quite an interesting story. Case lasted years.
I want a go.

Thank you James. You are a saint.
I've been meaning to start a thread asking if anyone had any more info on the Jaguar Transit test vehicle.
This vehicle was built brand new and utilised by Jaguar as a test bed.
It was the most impressive vehicle I saw go up the hill all day at Goodwood.
It was mocked up to look like a maintenance vehicle by the Goodwood folks purely for laughs.
The van was bought by the father of the gentleman that got the best time of the day last year at Goodwood and they decided to bring it along for a giggle this year.
Brilliant stuff.
Incidentally, the XJ220 was originally supposed to be a permanent 4WD, 6.2 litre 48 valve N/A V12 powered car. The XJR15 was a closer match to the original idea, so the 220 customers were understandably miffed, hence the legal proceedings.
