got a wedding to attend this saturday

was going to buy a suit but isn't really worth it for one day, probably not gonna use it much.

don't fancy renting anything.

so was told some smart trousers and a shirt will do, also a jacket

i mean whats a smart jacket and trousers, i don't have a clue whats cool, and whats old man or school uniform etc

I would say a smart jacket, trousers and shirt basically means buy a suit

Just go to M&S they've got some really nice suits from £99 and get a black or grey then you've got one for all occasions

whats the difference between black smart trousers and school trousers?

surely its just two legs and a bit for ya particulars

www.slatermenswear.com Slaters have a great choice of casual and formal wear, plus they have staff who give good advice. Also they have a great hire department.

Dunno where you live tho, but they have shops all over

Black smart trousers are usually much nicer material, almost have a bit of a shine to them. Suit trousers.

School trousers are just dull and cheap.

agreed - smart ones are better fittest and have that "smart and expensive" look about them.

Just get a suite Jim, then you never have to worry about situations such as these in the future mate, also u can use the trousers from the suite seperatly, Debenhams do good suites as do M&S and next

there is a freeport just near me, that was original plan, can go there and get a good designer one, just not sure whether i wanna spend a load of money

if i got smart shirt and trousers i could use it for work too

Jim, I think a suit is a good investment, as long as you don't intend to put on/loose a lot of weight! A standard type suit won't date as much as an ultra trendy one and it could last you a few years.
