Not too sure where i stand.
At a show this year i was asked about my scuttle pannel by ABS motorsport. At no point was permission asked about using pics for their website or anything....they didnt even make it!
Just been helping a mate find something and guess what cropped up....

Just email them, and say you notice that they're using your pics without your permission. If they wish to continue using them, you would like to receive some form of gratuity.

Keep it polite, but firm, if it really bothers you that much. What is it with people nicking pics of your car recently anyway?

Plus, if the parts on your car aren't from them, then they're deceiving people in a way...

ross says-

copyrght belongs to the person that took the image unless an agreement was signed otherwise. using pictures for advertising without consent is a silly thing to do. my advice would be to write a letter informing them that they have broken their copyright and ask for costs of using the image, renumeration for using it without consent and costs for writting and posting the letter. they should give them 10 working days to reply before sending another letter

The way I read it now is that they took the pics of his car to sell parts, even though the parts he has may not be what they are selling.

So whilst going off Ross' comment, they're not breaking copyright as the pics belong to them, they could still be infringing something in the Sale of Goods Act by advertising their products with pictures of similar items that they didn't supply...
