"Me and my mate s timed this, we got 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds that is rapid for a 1.4i. Have you got a mate with a 1.4i Corsa who thinks he/she are good compared to everyone else’s 1.1i or 1.2i. Ha! Im telling you now, put this against a normal 1.4i Corsa and it will not touch you for beans, and it will keep up with a GSi for a considerable distance"

Hahaha that made me piss myself who needs a CTR when you've got a 1.4 SRi Corsa B eh?

i had an 8v sri as my first car, and it was about as quick as a mates gsi (which had seen better days if im honest)

not quite 5.8seconds to 60, but put up a good fight against a gsi

1.6 16v V 1.4 8v? I can't see it being that close really, either way 5.8 seconds is slightly off

Hence why I said I meaning me, my opinion, me using general car knowledge to assume. Not solid facts

Anyway regardless of my assumptions, 5.8 seconds won't be seen easily without spending a fair bit of £££

Rob - a 1.4 SRi does not have an F15cr as standard.

And SteveF/LuckyB/Roy wont disagree as a shit load was spend on the car!

I said it won't be achieved easily without a C20LET, then thought people might be pedantic etc, so changed it to say without spending a fair bit of money

What a complete and total arse candle.

Sierra Cosworth takes longer than that to hit 60.

I could out run him in my old Merc with soft tyres and the parking brake on.

the car maybe fairly quick, but no chance that it is 5.8 seconds to 60, that would be saying its quicker than a 2.0 clio sport.

Going to email him and ask if I can do a timed run. If he proves it does 0-60 in 5.8 seconds I shall give him the £1000

also note the lack of GSi bodykit which he claims to have on the car

all I can see is standard colour coded pre 97 bumpers and some Steinmetz sideskirts
