Bought my self a 106 Xsi on a K plate , Grey in colour , paintwork not best on roof and bonnett etc but shell solid , picked it up sunday night erm dropped it into garage on the monday got 2 new drop links fitted , nice and tight steering and not rattly again , last night got a bargain set of 106 Gti Calipers , £20 Bought Gti Discs £9 Each Got them all fitted last night , Good brake upgrade from standard Xsi shitters , Got a Gti rear axle sorted too just on look out for some cheap buckets and suspenstion now , then Zorst system for it . Got 205 Gti 1.9(speedline) Wheels sitting waiting to go on. The Wee thing pulls like fuck from 5k to the limiter quite impressed for a 1.4 and handling aint too shabby either for a 14 year old std car . This was ideal as a runabout to i put corsa in garage and do some sort of engine conversion on it , but think im gonna use this as a pure abusing toy Anyone had any experiance with them ? Any good tips for tuning etc ? Pics will be up soon . Oh and still waiting on my Cally turbo discs getting redrilled to 4 stud so i can get them on corsa And Clio valver is still well erm in the garage waiting on willy the welder Sorry for the essay .

very good little cars, massively underestimated

1.4 is supposed to be better than the 1.6 too, although it depends who you ask

tuning wise, just the usual... exhaust, filter, manifold, stuff like that

Had a good few tussles with a green 106 with 16v popped in (aprox 150bhp) and it honks the 205 1.9 on straights.... but i'm faster round corners/on brakes etc

aye go through quite a few Dunno who is doing the conversion yet , spoke to 1 of your m8' a few month ago ( Pie Or Summin is it ? Big Guy ) Down mfi , but dont think he is doing them any more or summin lol will wait and see what happens m8 . The guy that getting my brakes re-drilled has done a fair few to say the least and a few turbo's too (billy craig) might just get him to do it.

You can get massive discounts on OMP stuff through the Rallye Register, also quite a few XSI owners on there. Id love an XSI for a track car. Raceland manifold, peugeot sport exhaust etc Got any pics?

as Adam said, the 1.4 gearbox has shorter ratios, which is why your mate wants it

Theres a group buy on raceland manifolds at the mo, thinkg there £150 for the 8v one. You need to get properly signed up, everything might be locked if youve passed 100 posts and not paid up.
