The colour coded valance bit was plastic welded to the black plastic bit and just filled over - keyed up with my crosshatch hacksaw technique.

Looks good Ed, Not very nice seeing yet another 97- front bumper with the ridge smoothed out though!

This needs to be banned before it becomes the next combat kit

Nice work looks uber smooooooooooth unlike alot of other bumpers ive seen with Irmy lip spoilers blended in!

Yea, you really need the right tools for the job. I have a selection of blocks, different grades of paper and a D/A sander. You also need to take your time otherwise it will be wavey an all over the place.

and a good bit of filler with a tad of fiberglass!

also just a little tip if u do it this way, rub down the lines with a bit of 180 and then chuck a small bit of fiberglass in the lines to smooth them out but put masking tape over them so that they are smoother and require less rubbing down then apply the filler after!

not sure if this helps but is good for fiberglassing holes up!

I need to have more practuce at skimming. I waste so much filler becuase mu skimming is all over the place. Masking tape tricks are great though for shaping stuff. Great for building stuff up and things.

get sum good spreaders and you will be fine! and dont be afraid to put a good amount on, also dont worry bout the pin holes in it, just use stopper for those or just do a big final skim with stopper!
