Right..

I always had a flat stomach but over the past few years with slowing down on the sport front etc I have now gained a 'wee' bit of a belly on me

I want to get my flat stomach back...

Best way to go about it, I know sit up crunches etc etc..

WHats the best way without using any gizmo's and machines etc???

Help me out.....

I might take a before and after pic too

running. Doing stuff like crunches wont burn off the fat around your stomach.

Situps won't burn the fat. You can't spot reduce which means getting rid of the fat in one area. You need to do cardio to burn the fat. Do swimming/running or something. Doing weights would also help as it boosts your metabolism

sit ups are overrated tbh, if you do want to build up your abs weighted crunches are the way to go, but a general good bodybuilding routine will increase core strength any way

like what has been said you need to increase cardio, if your mainly concerned with just loseing weight do cardio everyday.

but most important thing is diet, lower calorie intake, less carbs, eat the correct food; tis simple take in more calories than you burn and you lose weight.

Can be. I think the reason for having a break is mostly if you do weights so you don't overtrain by going every day.

no prblem training cardio every day, unless of course you feel sore/fatigued in that case yes take a day or 2 to rest.

taking a break is mainly for weightlifting.

weighted crunches are like normal crunches, just hold a weight on your chest to increse resistance.

yeah should be lol dont take my word for it im by no meens an expert im sure theres other people who can help.

best thing to do is try and lisen to your own body, if you try and train tonight and feel like you cant do it then give it a rest, or better try varying your training go swimming tonight, its better on your joins ect.

but like i said cardio can be trained every day imo.

Cardio and an improved diet will help you flatten your stomach.

Ally- You'll be fine, you could do cardio everyday and not really have any trouble.
