Stubs thread got me thinking..

Had every piece of woodwork and doors (6) replaced upstairs all with new brushed alloy handles and hinges. Every room is getting brushed alloy switches and sockets.

Finished Kitchen / dining room.

Just finished Kierans bedroom except for vent above his door.

Just started on Chloes room, doing alot of prep wotk.

After Chloes room it's our room then bathroom, then living room then hall

Getting everydoor and piece of woodwork replaced downstairs too.

6 doors and all handles / hinges and all Door facings and skirting board including window surrounds and new hardwood threshholds under doors..

I got all that done for £560...TBH though the joiner didn't charge too much labour as my wife knows him from her old work.

still got 3 doors downstairs to do aswell.

know what it's like mate. You want to get it done all at once but it's just not possible (unless you have shoot loads of money). Have to do it bit by bit. Good at the end though when you've finished a room.

Luckily there wasn't much for us to decorate so it was just a case of adding our own bit of pieces and furnishing to our taste. Living room is done and so is the kitchen. Next major thing is to get some new carpet in the hallways and up the stairs, god knows how much that will cost
