Basically next week me and a few mates are supposed to be going down to Devon but I really CBA, Id rather be in brum with everyone else but they reckon im still goin. Need a way of getting out, what can I say?

understand where you're coming from, I have mates you get upset if you change your mind and/or don't join in with their activities. Like Jambo said they're not proper mates.

If you don't want to go don't go. Simple as that. Put your foot down and tell em you're not going. When they reply with "oh you're a c0ck" or "you have let us down" just say, "sorry, just don't want to go, end of".

Fair enough you don't wana let them down but it's not as if it's just 2 of you and the other can't go. I can't understand why you'd prefer to be in birmingham but just tell them you can't make it.

exactly, i'm sure they'll appreciate your honest far more if you just say you don't fancy going to Devon, that you dont feel like it this time. rather than a story about how your dog ate your wallet or something
