http://worksmart.org.uk/rights/viewsubsection.php?sun=63

quote:
What payment am I entitled to when leaving my job?
Normally you would be entitled to full pay up to the effective date of termination of employment and any accrued holiday pay, overtime, bonuses and commission etc.

In addition you would be entitled to a redundancy payment, if your job is redundant and if you qualify for payment.

Deductions from final payment may be made where there has been an overpayment, for example of holiday entitlement.

If you are on sick leave, even if you are not receiving full pay, you will be entitled to full pay during any statutory notice period.

As JadeM said basically

The other day at work, the team leader of another team more or less shouted at a guy in my team for chatting up a bird in his team (a temp), the guy from my team told him not to shout at him and talk to him with respect, a few hours later the guy from my team went up to this other bloke and said within earshot of myself and our team leader "if you ever talk to me like that again I'll rip your fucking head off!"

Needless to say they aren't talking to each other at the moment!

Well maybe you wait till you are back from holiday and see how his attitude towards you is then, if he reverts back to his old self, then just hand in your notice and look for another job.
