maybe thinking that this is gonna be a better option than corrado, mate is selling his VR6 golf he got a few months back as its costing silly amounts in fuel etc.
made me think, do i really need a corrado
whats people opinions of the golf, i think they look lovely with some simple mods, not sure on performance etc?
what they like for mileage? strong engine?

Better off with the TDi's for mileage, the 1.8T's aren't brilliant

nothing wrong with the 1.8Ts milage wise, iv seen a 1.8t go onto 500,000 miles on the same turbo
its only niggly little faults that arent really mileage related

Working for an engine re-man company we do get a fair few 1.8T engines in, mainly AGU/AGN type engines in, not the best but not the worst.

Is there a bigger diesel engine than the 1900 ?
I quite fancy one as a next car

remap, 210 bhp different car
also the performance is deceptive, its very smooth and quite quiet, you dont realise your going as fast as you are, the boost curve is smooth, its not spikey or surgy like some turbos. I rate the engine, i like it
