ok, my plan is to sell the bmw next month and get another car.

not fussed on speed, just want something refined.

insurance isnt much of a problem, im 23 now

will have 16k or a bit more, possibly 20k if i buy early next year

dont want anything i will loose 1000s on after a year

thinking an e46 m3, as i love bmws - but open to ideas

nothing jap - at all

ok if you like your bmws then an e39 m5( best bmw you can get in that price bracket imo)
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/62357.htm
or you could get an m coupe if you wanted to be a bit different
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/79658.htm

or you could get 1 of these audi s4's, its not a cab but none of the cabs are really quick anyway. this example is just over budget but there are a fair few within yours:

If you're thinking A4 with a 1.8t engine then make sure you get a manual. Well, in fact, if you get an Audi, get a manual.

Calloway Engine but that article is odd, not exactly rare in these parts, see different ones on a weekly basis, certainly not the rarest. With HSV being a quality manufacturers tuning arm, they can make you anything you request within reason. factory fit supercharger, twin turbo, even rag top monaro. all if you have $$$

If I didn't have 3 kids, for that money I'd be looking for an E46 M3
