had my elise stack dash on ebay, £100 buy it now.
got a message off a guy saying how he wanted the dials, but noticed i didnt offer post outside the UK (his ebay address is registered in hong kong) and would i be willing to post if he covered the cost.
before i had chance to even read this message, he had gone through with the buy it now, the money is in my paypal account, although the paypal account used is registered to an address in london.
im thinking this is possibly a scam, and there is no way i am posting the dials to hong kong.
any opinions/advice?

get the money out of your paypal account into a normal bank account. then email him and tell him to sort the postage cost, which will be about 100 quid.

but that wont help if its a scammer using hijacked paypal etc, as paypal just take the money back, leaving me with a negative paypal balance. plus my bank balance is overdrawn, so the money would get swallowed up

It's really not worth bothering, chief.
Just refund his and tell him to GTF

this happened to me.
got paid, thought i wud get it straight out into my bank account... day later my paypal goes nagative due to fraudulent funds....
the fact he has afew feedback does make it sound legit, but you never know.
try sort out another kind of payment where once you have it nothing can be done... unlike paypal where the money can just be taken back out 30days later or so...

do not post...report to ebay, reverse the payment, re-list but before that change your selling preferences....

Not if you refund - fees get refunded as well.
Not that he's bothered with a hooky card.
I had exactly this also, I considered closing the account after I had withdrawn the money so it couldn't be recovered but I'm quite sure Paypal would just instruct debt collectors instead which I cba with.
Just refund and tell him you're not dealing.

people just use hi-jacked ebay accounts, to scam with, so feedback doesnt always meen a genuine ebayer.

i think ebay should have a system where you can choose if you want to sell to users with feedback less than ... and if they try to buy the item using buy it now it prevents them.
i would only want this for buy it now not auctions

if you got his money, i'd post it, make sure its recorded delivery so he can't pretend it never came
could always close your paypal account afterwards to stop it being taken out.
