There is a guy at work (muslim) apparently he is going to have an arranged marriage to his mum's sister's daughter...

I feel this is wrong both on account of it being arranged and to a family member, but I'm told this is not illegal. Is this correct?

Does anyone else not think this is kinda wrong?

A lot of people who have arranged marriages are related to the person they are due to marry some how.

I personally think it's wrong, but if there happy to go along with it then who are we to judge.

I'm glad I'm not muslim or any sort of religion where arranged marriages are the 'norm' - anyone try to make me marry some random bird can EMA!

It's only illegal because of the genetic problems.
And frowned upon by our society today.
If they are distant enough for gene disorders not to be a problem it doesn't really matter.
We wouldn't be here without some inbreeding.

I have muslims friends and they do marry within the family, my old best mate from school married her cousin they don't see it as an issue!!!

I'm guessing you wouldn't marry ur cousin samuel???
