yes very good info

Common faults are ARB amoungst others

Standard are 180 BHP

1.8t is known to use some oil aswell so oil levels need to be watched

Fuse tray on top of the Battery can sometimes melt itself. No real cause as to why that happens but it is a common fault. Mine (not an R) needed replacing, only cost £40 and a few fuses.

my AUQ uses hardly any oil at all, watch out for slack clutch, meaning master or slave problem, common fault

my BAM hasn't but my mates S3 APX has used quite a bit and know of others which have used a bit

someone off here got one the other day for less than 6K with 41K on it but that wasn't an R. the R's are very rare

most were done under warranty, there was a recall

Yes that was me! Its not an R, just a standard cupra, I got told to watch for MAF sensors going, and coil pack failure.

All true think MAF is the main concern as it has a direct effect on performance

my MAF readings are topping out at 180 g/s + on a modified airbox and remap i was getting 170ish with a cleaned MAF using alcohol, but this is with a brand new one
