Been offered 5k for my site, I think im gonna take it as the sites getting hassle for me now and near enough a full time job

Yes it's making money but 5k would be nice!

The guy who wants to buy it has just spent over 50k on loads of other auction sites as he is combining them all together to make 1 massive auction site

He has offered me a job on it aswell and a % of income if I wish

Opinions?

depends how much cash the site is making you? if you think it could be more in the long run tell him to off and piss, otherwise it sounds like a good deal tbh - job + % of income

though i would look into what he is offering with the job etc

Depends, how well is your site doing? How well do you expect it to do?

If you've got a part on the new site then all is not lost....even if the new site does become the new Ebay you still get a % of it

Personally I'd probably ask for more or keep it for longer.

try and get a bit more then if hes the owner of a nascar company but i would see what the job includes/pay and see if you would make more money in the long run if you carried on with it yourself

So like 15k per year

Personally I'd keep it, letting it go for 5k would be madness !!

do you think the guy owns a nascar company with the attitude that money is no object? i think the opposite would be true to be fair.

if you really are making £40 a day off of it then your stupid for even fathoming the energy to start this thread you'll make more in 6 months and it'll still be your site

dont seel it him for a stupid price, you can make an extra 10k per year, instead of the one 5k payment.

Why is a guy that owns a nascar company wanting to buy a diddy wee auction site would be my question.
I think this is an attempt at some adevertising, imo of course.

going rate for companies is roughly 3x profit a year. That is extremely rough but gives you something to go on.

So I would ask for more, or put more of your effort into it (advertising, etc.) and make a proper big go of it yourself.

keep the site. If its making 15k a year, pay out for advertizment. Think, if you got double the interest, that would be £30k a year, make it your full time job, then eventually employee someone to help out. Keep it growing
