Anybody going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month? Just curious, as i went last year, nice 8 hour drive, and it was awesome! I only went down to see one specific car, but nearly everything that was there was interesting and great to see/hear.
So anybody going this year? 7th, 8th and 9th July btw

last year was indeed excellent!! mainly for this reason, my primary reason for going:

i knew BB was going to be there last year, but seing as Gerry marshall is no longer with us, i kinda thought that it would be on display as its kinda priceless now. Shocked as i was to see being driven, imagine my surprise (and happyness) to Peter Brock giving it death all the way, propper awesome!

I go every year, wouldn't miss it.
It's like heaven without the clouds and harps and angels and God.
Jimbo... get your Goodwood trousers on Sunshine
Can't go one year and then miss it the next.

I disagree with you there I live about 30 mins from it, and I have been 4 times now - but usually every other year. I did 2 years in a row and was pretty disappointed as it seemed pretty much the same as the year before!
Also seems an absolute rip off on the Sunday (usually about £40 per person!!) Best day to go is the Friday as its cheapest
Track days held there are pretty good though

It's the only place in the world where you walk around for the entire duration of the day with all the hairs on the back of your neck standing to attention permanently.
I nearly fainted when the V16 BRM went past.

I'm not knocking it, it is good, but I just think its overpriced tbh.
And C4 WLK, yes unfortunately the roads around Goodwood arent really up to the job Its an ansoulte nightmare whenever anything major is on at Goodwood!
