It's been done before but never specifically for the 1.2 8v.

How many miles can you get to a tank? What kinda average do you lot get for just round town driving?

When you say you average 300 miles, how much do you put in then to fill it up? 40 litres?
I once put 41 litres in the tank of my 1.2 8v, and got a maximum of 250 miles from the tank (not just that time, but thats the most I EVER got).

Now I have my 1.6 sport, the worst I have got is 230 miles to the tank, and I regularly get 260-270 miles on about 38 litres.

I average about 32-33 mpg with the Sport.

Ry 1.2 8valves are a disaster for petrol. when mine was mobile () I would get around 100miles to £15

So the 1.6 is more economical than the 1.2 8v?

Just a bit, I've seen 5.0l Jeeps do better MPG than a 1.2 8v Mine used to do under 200 miles to a tank.

Yes, I didn't understand it either. The most I ever got from the 1.2 was 35 mpg, and then I went to Uni and did mostly round town driving as well, so was expecting around 25mpg, as that was what I got with the 1.2 in the first term of Uni.
First tank I used, including ragging it cos I loved the acceleration, I got 29 from it, and since then I have not had less than 30 once.
