I'd say keep them - They break the panel up nicely

i think it looks nicer without from the front angle but crappy from the rear angle

car looks lower with them on as well, wierd.

Visually they do make the car seem lower.

If you keep them then get darker side repeaters too.

I say keep them, Unless you dont need them (they only protect doors from car-park dings)

thats a very good point and is actully probably more of a deciding factor for me that a lot of people, especially after next week.

Just keep them FFS, looks too empty without them on. They help break up the emptiness and also go well with the colours on your car

tough call. it looks good both ways, but as you've got a bit of a gsi thing going on i'd take them off personally.
