Absoloutely had it with retail.
Ive been everything from a sales assistant part time, a store manager, an assistant manager and a mobile salesman.
I cannot deal with it anymore, i want a new career. I want to avoid being in mangement as that was the worst most stressfull part of my life.
I cant take another rude, selfish arrogant wanker having a certain "power" over me because my job is to help them. To which none of them deserve!
Any suggestions? I have a-levels and gcse's no higher ed tho, considering going back to college/uni maybe to learn something new have no idea what tho. Id like to work with cars possibly. dunno
Anyone done something similar? Im 22 by the way and in a tad of debt but think if i cut my losses and have a couple of crappy months sell the car etc i can brake even.. So not sure what to do

if you want to change to a completely new job area, then you will find you may be starting at the bottom again, hence lack of money for a while till you work up, prove yourself etc!
if youd like to work with cars, what do you want to do?
mechanic? can you do mechanic stuff? may have to be an apprentice, this is very low money till you qualify...

Music Journalism?
PornStar*?
Come up with one of these genius web idea's that could make lots of money, tell me and we'll share the profits
etc
My house mate at uni, is from australia - came all the way over to england to go to uni, goes back every holiday, his dad and step mum come over loads - buy like 14 of us a meal with drinks, deserts, starters etc - pay for it all.
He's stinking rich, his home in australia looks like a mansion on a hill with 3 swimming pools, indoor, front one, and one which is like it has a shear drop look to it, but actually doesn't.
Do you know what his dad and step mum do?
They run a internet site. A internet dating / casual sex site - like adult friend finder.
They're like 2nd or 3rd in the world. Pays for everything, from their house, flights, cars etc!
madness so much wealth can be made from a little idea like that.

I'm in the middle of doing this, that job with Euro Car Parts was wank in the end, was more of a sales job maintaining accounts and trying to open new ones which is exactly what I'm trying to get away from.
Today I applied for a job at Vauxhall in Reading as a Service Advisor, will wait and see if I hear anything.
Like you I will have to take a wage drop to start at the bottom, but at least I will be doing something that intrests me rather than spending all day on CS.

try to get a job in car sales jambo, somewhere like autoplanet, carworld/carland or whatever car supermarket is near you, my mate works for autoplanet and took home about 50k last year! Used car volume sales is where its at, not muh money in new cars anymore to make a huge wage.

Today I applied for a McDonalds near the madjeski stadium, flipping burgers.
I will have to take a wage drop to £3.20 an hour, lower than the toilet cleaner, but at least I will be doing something that intrests me rather than spending all day on CS.
I bet you'll spit in the burgers ollie.

Financial Services is about as exciting as a soggy turd, 7 years is to long to have been working here, I only stay in the vain hope of redundancy.

Jambo, when I was still welding I went round all the agencies, but as I had no office or customer service skills they didn't want to know.
With your A-Levels and all the experience that youv'e gained they will probably be quite keen to help you out.

i dont really find myself 'SELLING' cars, its kind of, what do you want? well, ok, this has it, its this much, sit in it, do you like it? ok drive it. then when they get back ask them do they want it. quite easy really most of the time.
mate at autoplanet has it even easier cos people go in there for a 206 1.4GLX cos they know thats what they want. cos of the size of the place, he has one exactly what theyre after so they just handover the money!!
