Is there a sewage works there, because when I used to work at Black Box (Basingstoke Road) the locals used to refer to the Whitley Whiff a lot?

Yes, the sewage works has recently been demolished and moved across the A33 near the Speedway stadium, where the old sewage works was they have built loads of flats, you know where Madjeski is, right near there. Move in, you are within walking distance of KFC

ive been looking at places around thatcham just outside of reading. im going to be living in reading for upto 6 months my place is right near reading police station which is convenient for the time being but i dont think id like to buy in reading.
Coming down from manchester i dont have much idea yet but around newbury area there seems like some nice places to live.

FPMSL, Thatcham is a crack whore paradise, I used to live there. Where near the Police station? Fcuking hell not those flats near the CITI building?

its police accomodation i got its a house not to far from the station not fully moved in yet as there is asbestos work being done should be back in there 1st week of june, living with my mate currently in thatcham and the area seems really nice

Right, its not horrendous..Yes some parts are run down. But ive always lived in lovley areas..
