Are you talking about the ST200's? The limited edition ones with koni suspension, speedlines and AP racing brakes? Or are yout alking about that standard ST vectras?

Either way they are pretty fast but vectras dont in my experience handle very well at all

Good friend of mine had the SRi V6 and that would pull like a train up to 140+ and another good friend of mine has a ST200 which also pulls like a train

Engines are fairly bomb proof but head gaskets can go on either of the banks so just keep an eye on them.

But the vaux V6 engine is about the sweetest V6 I have heard when you throw a induction cone on them

Get the ST200 if you can afford one and find one for sale

If not then get a GSi.

I always think normal supertouring is a wannabe of the ST200

If you can get the ST200 as it wil hold its value more and you are owning a part of pure vaux history! Make sure you tell the people on vvoc so they can update the owners registar!

A GSi is the next car I would choose over the ST200 then would have a ST.

Mate who owns #24 just had a go at me after I showed him the thread saying how do I think a car with a LSD, traction control and koni suspension handles badly

shame they dont have the performance to match the looks.

and before anyone goes of on one i used to own a GSi and had Courtenays CS15+ package on it including lightened flywheel etc, then all mapped with a dastek unichip. Dont think there is much more N/A wise you can really do, all of that cost me about £2500 i think.

And at the end of the day it certainly was no beast , My ibiza Cupra would have creamed it, only have had one race though agaisnt a 330Ci and it was even.

Now if someone gets an ST200 and puts a tuned LET in that would be quality, the worlds first 'fast' vectra
