Bit of a bold comment there, seeing as BMW are one of the biggest car manufacturers. They cant be that bad or they have gone bust with Rover.

Didn't say they were bad cars just that you need proper $$$ to keep one in tip top condition

aye i know paul but you are paying for more of a prestiage car than a vauxhall or similar so you expect a preimiuem

What i trying to say no more expensive to run than other makes of a similar standing i.e audi, merc, alfa, etc.

I think Merc parts are quite reasonable. Labour isn't at £95 plus VAT an hour

And Jodi Alfas are probably one of the most expensive cars to run makes a merc or BM seem cheap!

Yea we had a 156 as a trade in at work was 2000 X-reg.
Guy at work was thinking of buying it had only done 50k.
But was put off when looking through the history and saw at 40k it had a full top end rebuild by Alfas and a huge bill!!!

I got a 156 as well got the v6 as its more relabile than the t-sparks but the most expensive part to change (waterpump) went as it is hidden behind everything and runs off belts.

miles dont make much difference on these

323 are 2.5, but have better engines then the 325 (and cheaper insurance as i found out - random)
