Im going to uni in wales at the moment (Aberystwyth) And I have a problem with me knee that I fucked up in 2004 and again recently over easter. So I go see my GP here in wales and he says he will refer me to a orthopeaidc surgeon (spelling?) and then onto having a arthritiscope (key hole surgery) Guess how long I have to wait?
9-10 months before I see the surgeon and then another 10-12 months before I can have the surgery!!!
FFS its a joke!
And I cant pay to have private medical care now as thye have it on the medical records that this problem exists 
Should I just register with a doctor in Chester (where i live in UK?) or will that cancel my GP here in wales?

The whole thing is mis-managed. They can blurt out all the propaghanda they like saying it works, but the fact is, my mum is a manager high up, she has to keep firing lower down managers because they can't afford them anymore. She's going to be firing herself soon enough for the same reason. All this leads to is a poor service

I had to wait 2 years for a surgeon to see my jaw, but then I pussied out when they told me what they would have to do to fix it.

I had a similar problem when i had to have a benine(sp?) growth taken out. Was told would take 5-6 months just to get to see a doctor, in the end it only took them 2 weeks and a month later went for surgey. Still a joke though.
And the equipment they use is awful, the fecking staple gun was misfiring so had to have double normal amount

the lower managers are no doubt being fired because their £30k a year jobs cannot be justified - i.e. they do nothing useful. in the last 5 or so years the only thing that has changed due to more management in my hospital is that i can't get a parking spot outside my ward and i have to go through 4 people to order a paper clip as opposed to just doing such things directly. and no, patient care has in no way improved.

not strictly true. looking at new labour blurb and unemployment statistics, yes on the face of it this appears to be true, but you have to question how many people are extracted from these statistics by conning DLA, 'training' schemes (in reality mega cheap enforced labour), honest skilled workers who have lost their jobs and being forced to work minimum wage in some shitty job etc, etc. the list goes on...

Indeed, if we stopped importing all these extra people then the NHS wouldn't be as fookin congested or if they stopped breeding like rabbits that may help too
The NHS was an excellent service 50 years ago, even the cleaners are fucking shite now. My granny took it upon herself to clean my grandads room when he was in hospital as she thought it wasn't done well enough
