Egypt is a dangerous place at the moment.
I suggest you keep a regular eye on the www.fco.gov.uk website nearer the time.

I went to egypt & didnt like it!! Tourist locations are full of dodgy shop keepers & peasants trying to sell you shit!! How knows if one of them will have a bomb under their robe
Best bit of the holiday......seeing some tourist get very pissed off by some peasant waving postcards in his face shouting buy..buy...buy - so he laid him out cold Then the police appeared from like behind a building & started beating the crap out the peasant. Ace!
Went to the pyramids & was half way down & some bloke got electrocuted off the lights Its very cramped tunnelling down into the main chamber & at the bottom was nothing spectacular, just an open casket & a peasant mumbling something about who was mummified there 2billion years ago....then he runs to the exit & begs for some dollar
Food was shite too

just go, whats the point of not going because their is a chance of a bomb. If that was the case you'd never go to any major UK city, and football stadiums, airports, train stations, etc. etc.

Go for it... could be a once in a life time experience.
My mum booked a holiday there a couple of months after the last bombings, and they were in the area that they had booked. Although my dad got worried about it all and changed the holiday and went to Gran Canaria instead.
My mum regrets doing this as she now knows she'd never go to egypt, and the holiday that she did go to was shite...
Just do it! The chance of getting bombed while your there is like 0.0001% of a chance you have more chance of dieing in a car crash tomorrow!

Yeah once in a life time experience & if I could have my time over again I wouldnt bother!! Its hot, sticky, smells funny & is full of peasants wanting dollar off you!!
I suppose theres some interesting stuff to see in the museums, but nothing you probably couldn't look up on the net. Plus they are heavily guarded & insist on no photography of there ancient relics. I wouldnt go again!!

At the end of the day it all depends on what you like and what exactly you would want to do while your there
Many different people like different things
I certainly would love to go their, and look around and maybe have a nice cruise down the nile

No at the end of the day its full of smelly pilgrims wanting money off you, its too humid & the towns stink, the ancient excavations are not that great & I thought dangerous, The nile is dirty & full of stagnent water that the peasants bath in & wash there clothes - its not a great place to go!! Seriously id rather holiday in skegness

6 mates went last year & loved it.....hardly spent much money either. I deffo want to go, never been to mexico
Advice - if you do go to Cancun just make sure its not an American Holiday because they swarm the place in thousands & are very annoying!!
