Well, i'd finally had enough of driving a shitter, so I went and looked at an EK9 yesterday. Absolutely fell in love with it, so have managed to get some proper pics now that we've given it a clean.

For those that haven't read the advert previouslly on eBay, its a 1997 Honda Civic Type R (i.e. a proper one, not a breadvan )
61k from new and its been in the country since it had done 600miles, so its got full Honda UK Service History.
Its got a HKS manifold, that sits far too low and so scrapes over bumps, adjustable Tanabe coilovers, Spoon airfilter and Spoon N1 backbox.
Its awesome! It's easily better handling than my Rex and feels quicker too (obviously it isn't)
Apart from a few clowns thinking that it was a VTI, most people seem to like it. I had a bit of a problem when I put a hole in the manifold going into my drive , but we've fixed that now until I manage to get a new 4-2-1 manifold to replace the 4-1 on there.
All in all, what a car :top

I bought it for £7500, but whilst thats only slightly cheaper than the new Type R's are going for these days, I can't see it losing much value over the next few months provided I keep it tidy and look after it. Plus, the low mileage and FSH should help.

1.6 16v, 183bhp standard. Goes like the clappers and sounds like a bike!

I'm not planning on doing much apart from a few small engine mods, the later lights as you said and getting the bumpers resprayed as theres a few marks. I might get some different wheels though, although they'll only be 16's
