Right just got in and i'm not a happy man, i know i am in the wrong here as my plates arent legal but it doesnt stop me being angry. there i am driving home minding my own business.
Doing probably not even 30mph as i spent ALL day cleaning and polishing my car(apoligies for no pics)
when traffic bobby turns up, sits on the back bumper of the car behind me for about 3-4 mins, then just drives onto the othe sid eof the road, cuts the car up behind me and then sits on my bumper for a couple of mins.
Then he pulls me over, and without a warning or anything gives a 30 quid fine, i was like could you not just tell me they arent acceptable and to get sum logit ones, he was really uncooperative(sp) and just slapped the 30 quid fine in my hand and bassically said its your problem now. Rant over

Exactly my point, the plate size, letter spacing, letter layout etc are all perfect.
Like has already been said on another post, police have now become uniformed tax collecters imo

Gotta say, everyone "should" know the law. Knowing it is the warning so you cant complain if you get a fine. Such is life! I drove round with no plate knowing full well if i got pulled i would have to face the punishment.

apparently - if a policeman removes his hat whiles he's in his car or ur car then he can't do anything (well apart from tell u off) as its the law that police must b in full uniform when issuing fines/points. its been contested in courts and members of the public have won on these grounds!

Fancy style lettering looks gay anyway.
I have a 3/4 size front numberplate that is all legal style text and spacing, just not legal size. Haven't put it on yet and when I do put it on if I get pulled for it then its my own fault, police just doing their job!

Funniest Thing I have heard in ages.
Thats an urban myth. Cops can be bollock naked and still issue tickets.
Some things need to be in uniform (requiring a car to stop) but not having a hat dosent mean you are not in unform
