OK so heres the story....Its not as bad as it sounds.
On my way to work in my fiesta runabout shitter, minding my own. Go round a long corner down a slight hill in sheffield city centre, only doing about 25mph (luckily). I see a women about 20meters down on the left standing on kerb- who shall be known as 'bint' for the purpose of this story, looking the other way, then infront. Now, you always expect the worse so I braked a little but never actually expected the bint to walk out into the road. She walks out full chat, without even a sniff of a look in my direction, Im by now locking my wheels up and doing my best to steer away from her into the middle of the road. I managed to just miss taking her over my bonnet and having a head on. She smacks into the side of my car, taking my wing mirror with her. I was not happy.
Stopped and she was fine, paying for a new wing mirror which is fair. But really, you dont cross a busy road without checking do you! Bint. Really can see how some people get ran over now.

glad she saw it was her fault, sum woman did that to me, i missed her and 2 weeks later i got a letter from the police sayin id bin drivin dangerously, i was doin 15mph!

the other week i was at the front of a convoy of MR2's driving briskly down a long road. There is a car park and a canal part way down the road.
Its a 60mph road and we were driving a little faster.
Any way spot a crowd of people and thought id move a little more in to the centre of the road.
get about 20 meters and a man dragging and i mean dragging a little mutt make a run for it! stamped on the brakes and blast the horn.
The bloke looked every where but at the line of cars

Don't know if any of you remember my thread but one of my truck drivers actually killed someone a few weeks ago because he walked out in front of the truck whilst on his mobile phone
Cant believe the stupidity of some people. I'd rather feel abit silly checking the road before and during i cross, than get killed when someone hit me because i didnt think to look!
Remember .. LOOK BEFORE YOU STEP OUT INTO THE ROAD!

Nah, coming down crookes valley road, just past the traffic lights/cross roads, just before brookhill roundabout.
I was well shook up when I parked my car, I parked it in a 2hr limit zone and forgot, went back at 5pm and I still hadnt got a parking ticket (all day!) - THERE IS A GOD!

if i were you i would get her to sign somthing to the effect of saying it was her fault and she wont take any action against you, anda independant witness aswell, shopkeeper etc

Baring in mind I was in my 1litre (non-turbo,non-nitrous,non-TB) fiesta, 25mph is more or less flat out

That's the approach I adopt anyway (only without the horn or lights), and it has always worked.
It's very effective on cocky looking gangs of 15-17 year old Pikeys in track suits and baseball caps, strolling across the road like they own it.
They soon knock that sh*t on the head and get a move on when a large angry man appears to be firing an all black car directly at them on full boost in 2nd gear.
