Panel filter.

Don't even bother with drilling the airbox, will make no difference to your particular engine's performance.

You won't really hear an induction note to be honest. Only engines that make some sort of induction note with a drilled airbox or cone filter on the Corsa are C14SE, X14E, and C/X16XE.

Panel filter will give a slight increase in fuel economy/power (only VERY slight!!) as the OE paper one is very restrictive.

Plus you won't have to replace it with each service, only needs to be cleaned every 30k or something.

Your car at the end of the day, personally I would not waste my time as it's only a 45bhp engine.

Panel filter if anything, only really worth it if the old one is haggard though.

Drill the box for sound - its free mod & induction kit is just going to be a waste of money you could put towards your head unit!!

here's the best way for induction noise on a budget

tools
screw driver for jubilee clip
scissors

1-remove jubilee clip from air box
2-remove air box completly from system
3-go back indoors
4-raid mothers draws for a pair of black nylon tights
5-take your scissors in one hand and procced to cut the tights using the anycle down (place on scantly clad woman to get measurements correct(preferably not your mother))
6-take left over of tights and jubilee clip these back onto where the old airbox was
7-enjoy your new induction raw for pennies
