Was looking for somewhere to live after i graduate, looking at 1 bed and 2 bed flats. Stumbled across this place:

Set within a stunning waterside development moments, this superb one bedroomed apartment benefits from gym facilities, secured entry, lift access, and gated underground parking. Offering stylish finish with attention to detail throughout, the property comprises light and airy reception room with space for dining, modern and well equipped kitchen, great bedroom and bathroom.
How much do you think that would cost in your area?

£800pm isn't a bad price for that given the addition facilities. I would miss the extra room though.

Will you not find something bigger at the same price without the extra stuff? You don't really need a gym, lift and underground parking.

Gym and lift. Whats all that about. A set of stairs replaces both.

better of with 2 rooms, then you can rent the other one out and helps pay a mortgage, renting is dead money imo

Depends who you talk to, and what they believe about house prices and interest rates. Read this - http://www.firsttimebuyerhelp.co.uk/articles/article.aspx?id=9

£400 is doubtful anywhere
£800 seems about right

i would say £800 would be about right if it had 2 bedrooms, but i think its a tad pricey for a 1 bed

Taken from that site -
For some reason the wet and bleak town of Blaneau Gwent in Wales had predicted a price rise of 80% !
Im in pontypool not far from there .... i hope my house rises by that much

Something like that around here would be pushing £1k
Got offered a 2 double bed flat this morning which is in a nice location all bills paid for at £950
Sounds alot but when you think all bills are included it makes you think its a bit better BUT you could get a very decent mortgage paying that a month
