I've just gone from fully comp to TPF+T and kinda feel stupid that i didnt carry on with FC and that i've lost things like £50 window excess, But i feel more mature when driving now and feel safer so i'm not likely to crash by myself.
Anyone else feel like this? is it good or bad?

For me it's always been just £200 extra for FC, and I wouldn't ever have a car I couldn't afford to insure FC. Just for the little extras like windscreen repair, free glass etching etc and the piece of mind that it's as insured as possible. It certainly hit home when my Ex's brother crashed her car writing it off, and because it was only insured TPFT then she's without a car until her parents can afford a new one.

in a way hes right had that hapen to me and my insurance company wouldnt do anything as was tft but because i had legal fees added they put me onto there lawers who got in touch with the woman who hit my car she settled without going through her insurance

tft means ur not coverd for any damge to ur car so ur insurance wont get involved

ur only coverd if u damage someone elses car or if ur car is stolen or catches fire

i think your looking into this too deep. its only when you have a case of the other person denying fault that you have to involve lawyers.

i have two cars one is fully comp (the xe) and the other tpft (diesel run about)

It does all come down to value of the car really if your car is worth more than say 1500 prob best to go fully comp for the extra i costs
