ok, dont want to bore anyone but here goes. the guy "ben" called me and we sorted out internet transfer to pay for the alloys which he gave me his sortcode and account number. money went through fine. he emails me and says the money has gone through, i've boxed and cleaned up the alloys and gave them to the coriour monday (27th feb, last monday)

i've now sent him about 4 emails, 3 texts and called him 3 times. not a reply to any over the last 3 days. to say the least i'm getting worried.

i call up dhl to ask where they were but the women said i need a item number, this is why i've been calling him so much. i called 118118 to get a home telephone number but it was disclosed. i dont know what to do

should i wait a month? or
call the police now, give them his address and bank details to help me contact him.

delevery for the alloys cost £100, so they were insurded too. he lives in channel isles (jersey) so delevery was a fair bit. he did offer to go 50/50 which is what we did. he was a very nice guy and helpful, untill i needed to get hold of him

they should beable to find the item using the postcode of the address they got picked up from, even if you dont have the consignment number. Just hassle them a bit and they should atleast beable to confirm if they were ever picked up or not.

Its not a crime until there's substantial proof that he has an intent to permanently deprive.

This would of course leaving it for a bit of time.

Are MIG able to corroborate his location?

++UPDATE++

just recieved an email from him

"Hi,
sorry i haven't been intouch i've just got back from Germany today. I had my phone and wallet stolen whilst i was there so couldn't contact you. I got back at 16.00 to find the wheels sitting around the back of my house. The wheels were sent to you but were stopped by UK customs, held for a couple of days then sent back to me because they weren't contacted. This is because Jersey is VAT free, so VAT wasn't paid on the tyres or wheels and they wanted it paid. I went back to the couriers and explained so they were re-sent as "returned goods" giving the impression VAT has already been paid. So if UK customs contact you please confirm this. The couriers are Regency Logistics and can be contacted on 01534 496900 or www.RegencyLogistics.com. The wheels might be with you tomorrow afternoon or Friday at the latest.

Hope this helps,

Ben"

Thank fuck for that. Lets hope they turn up this week then
